Meet Melanie McCANN-MOTT for Assembly
Melanie McCann-Mott is seeking election for State Assembly in Legislative District 18. Melanie grew up in Highland Park and North Edison and has resided in South Plainfield since 2005. She is currently serving her first term as Councilwoman in South Plainfield.
Melanie has worked in customer service since the age of 14. In 2004, she began building her successful career as a realtor. Her experience in helping others her entire working-life has been a great asset to all constituents she has served.
She is a lifelong volunteer, serving as a member of PTO’s, various local charitable organizations, local sports programs, and is a member of South Plainfield Elks Lodge #2298.
“As a mother of three and a full-time Realtor, I understand the need to keep New Jersey affordable. Our families are here and people are being forced out largely due to astronomical taxes,” said Mott. “I know what it’s like to struggle, what it’s like to fail, what it’s like to overcome what seems impossible, and what it takes to succeed. These are the skills that give me the drive I have and I would transfer these same values as your public servant in Assembly.”
